Indoor Tours

Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower of London, the British Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the National Gallery – they’re world-famous, iconic London buildings and collections. And just to spice things up we’ve got two wild card Indoor Tours: Behind Closed Doors and Inside Covent Garden – Really Inside!!!

And for sure, we guide them. We guide them 1) because they’re world famous; 2) because to see them properly you have to be taken through them by a top-flight guide; 3) because we’re able to. Most London walking tour companies don’t have access to them. We do. It’s one of the privileges of being London’s premier walking tour company, using top-flight, well connected, professionally qualified guides.

The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, the British Museum, the National Gallery, St. Paul’s, the Victoria & Albert Museum – they’re must-sees. And the lineaments and practicals are pretty good, too. 1) These are weather-proof tours, which is no bad thing when it’s raining cold ropes. 2) Not only do we have access – we have special access: we’re able to jump the queues (ordinary tourists – as opposed to London Walkers – sometimes have to shuffle along for 45 minutes or more in that queue to get into the Abbey). 3) A couple of them have an admission charge but we get you a good deal. 4) Most important of all, you’ll see these iconic buildings and their holdings through the eyes of a world-class guide. The crème de la crème of Blue Badge Guides. 5) Anything else? For sure. There are two wild cards in the deck: Behind Closed Doors and Inside Covent Garden Really Inside!! Not just Really Inside!! Privileged access inside – we go where no one else can take you. 6) What’s not to like?

Monday morning it’s The Secrets of Westminster Abbey (not Dec. 24 or March 11);   Monday afternoon it’s the British Museum Tour (not Dec. 24)

Tuesday morning it’s Secrets & Splendours of St. Paul’s (not Dec. 25) and Behind Closed Doors (not Nov. 1 – April 30)

Wednesday morning it’s the Tower of London Tour (not Dec. 26);  Wednesday afternoon it’s the British Museum Tour

Thursday morning it’s Inside Covent Garden, Really Inside!!! and The Secrets of Westminster Abbey (no Abbey tour on Nov. 8, Nov. 22 or Dec. 13)

Friday morning it’s The Victoria & Albert Museum Tour;   Friday afternoon it’s The National Gallery

Saturday afternoon it’s the British Museum Tour

Sunday morning it’s the Tower of London Tour (not April 28)

Another gem. It’s “the world’s greatest guide”* Karen and juv lead Katy guiding Inside Covent Garden – Really Inside!!!   *So said Travel & Leisure, the august American travel magazine.

“the best London has to offer”  Culture Trip

If you can’t make one or more of the regularly scheduled, just-turn-up, public Westminster Abbey or Tower of London or St. Paul’s or British Museum or National Gallery or V & A tours (or indeed the Behind Closed Doors or Inside Covent Garden tours) why not think about booking one or more of them as a private walk?  If you go private you can have one of the “Indoor London” tours – or any other London Walk– on a day and at a time that suits your convenience. We’ll tailor it to your requirements. And – always with private walks – we go to great lengths to make sure the guide-walker(s) “fit” is well-nigh perfect. Ring Fiona or Noel on 020 7624 3978 or email us at [email protected] and we’ll set it up and make it happen for you. Or if you’re looking for an unusual and wonderful gift or birthday or Christmas present for a friend or family member – well, why not consider the gift of a private tour with a world-class guide. Merchandise schmerchandise (gift wrapped or not) – but giving someone an experience, now that’s special. Memories make us rich.
