Short podcast listen: Adam riffing brilliantly on how a music walking tour is not just a dance to the music of our time – it’s also a dance to who we are.

Long read: All roads once led to Rome… now they lead to London. In terms of Rock ‘n’ Roll this is an inarguable fact. Big bucks may be made in Hollywood but rock ‘n’ roll reputations are made here in The Big Smoke. We’re headin’ to their haunts and hangouts. Where they riffed and let rip, these men of wealth and taste. Please allow me to introduce The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, David Bowie, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, Blur, Oasis… It’s a Who’s Who of the music. Each act has a London tale to tell… Very often a tale so decadent – so down and dirty – that Caligula would have blushed!*Keep on walking, keep on rocking! Guided by Adam or Rex. *with thanks to Morrissey

ROCK ‘N’ ROLL LONDON – THE PRACTICALS
Rock ‘n’ Roll London takes place every*Friday – year-round – at 2 pm. The meeting point is just outside exit 1 of Tottenham Court Road Tube Stop. If arriving on the Elizabeth Line follow the signs for the Tottenham Court Road Exit, and then take Exit 1, Oxford Street South N.B. the Rock ‘n’ Roll London Walk ends very near Oxford Circus Tube. *Not Dec. 25
If you can’t make one of the regularly scheduled, just-turn-up, Rock 'n' Roll London it can always be booked as a private tour. If you go private you can have the Rock 'n' Roll London walk – or any other London Walk – on a day and at a time that suits your convenience. We’ll tailor it to your requirements. Ring Fiona or Mary on 020 7624 3978 or email us at [email protected] and we’ll set it up and make it happen for you. A private London Walk – they’re good value for an individual or couple and sensational value for a group – makes an ideal group or educational or birthday party or office (team-building) or club outing.
GIVE THE GIFT OF LONDON WALKS
A private London Walk makes a fab gift – be it a birthday or anniversary or Christmas present or whatever. Merchandise schmerchandise (gift wrapped or not) – but giving someone an experience, now that’s special. Memories make us rich.
With an encyclopedic knowledge of London’s rock ‘n’ roll scene, Adam took us on a fascinating journey through the 1960s and 1970s (plus glimpses into the 1980s), sharing how the city’s gritty and spirited music culture evolved during those decades.
Adam is a skilled orator and storyteller, bringing the era to life, unveiling the evolution of the recording industry and connecting us to the spirit of the time. Highly recommended.

Excellent guide. This is my 4th London Walks tour and while they were all good, Adam’s was the best. Incredibly knowledgeable, fun and personable. Was able to answer even the most detailed questions. I hadn’t planned on doing another during my current trip but plan to do his Beatles Vol 1 tour today. Plus it’s a great way to see parts of London that you might not otherwise.

Having previously been on the Krays walk with Adam I knew his Rock ‘n’ Roll London walk on Friday 16th of August would be class and I wasn’t disappointed. Great fun and informative, it was evident he does his research as I felt the anecdotes were tailored to the groups interest and he could have accommodated just about any relevant question with a story or two.
