Short read: It rocks!

Short podcast listen: Adam riffing brilliantly on how a music walking tour is not just a dance to the music of our time – it’s also a dance to who we are.

Slightly longer read: “It’s like having your own personal rock star for a tour guide”

Lockdown read: Wednesday night Rock’n’Roll London Pub Walk is BACK!  Click here    Other London Walks tours will soon follow in virtual form

Long read: All roads once led to Rome… now they lead to London. In terms of Rock ‘n’ Roll this is an inarguable fact. Big bucks may be made in Hollywood but rock ‘n’ roll reputations are made here in The Big Smoke. We’re headin’ to their haunts and hangouts. Where they riffed and let rip, these men of wealth and taste. Please allow me to introduce The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, David Bowie, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, Blur, Oasis… It’s a Who’s Who of the music. Each act has a London tale to tell… Very often a tale so decadent – so down and dirty – that Caligula would have blushed!*  Keep on walking, keep on rocking! Guided by Adam or Rex.       *with thanks to Morrissey

  1. Bruce Silver

Excellent tour. Adam is very knowledgeable about the history of rock ‘n roll (blues/jazz/punk) and will tell you all the details about the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, David (Jones) Bowie, The Yardbirds and The Who. Discussed recording studios, rehearse venues, pubs, venues, in a very, very entertaining manner.

  2. Andy

Great trip. pointed out many interesting venues which I have previously walked past without even looking at the building. Being selfish would have liked a few more titbits from more current times, like the cover of the Oasis album being taken in Berwick Street but still loved it1

  3. Antony Zamchick

Great tour with Adam, he made it fun and had a wealth of knowledge to share.

  4. Cynthia Waldman

Adam is the man! Grab the tour, it’s fantastic. It was fun, informative and a great way to spend the afternoon.

  5. Lisa Abernathy

We loved our walk with Adam. His knowledge and love for Rock and Roll is clear.Highly recommend this walk for music enthusiasts.

  6. Patrice

I did the tour with Adam on May 5th 2023. Really cool for people who are fond of the 60’s and 70’s music as I am. I read a lot about Tin Pan Alley and Denmark Street in books. Now I know what it looks like. Adam is really cool and entertaining, telling you many anecdotes (and for non native English speakers like me: he is very “understandable” :). Thanks for the good time.

  7. John & Darby Bennett

We took three of Adam’s tours in less than a week: Old Westminster by Gaslight; a private tour of Kensington; and Rock & Roll London. ALL were fantastically informative and entertaining. Adam has “the gift” and we felt fortunate to be in his company. Well done, sir!

  8. Keith Bissonnette

Adam was awesome! I have now been on 9 London walks, and Adam’s tour was one of the best! Super fun, and interesting. Adam’s knowledge is amazing, and his anecdotes and delivery very entertaining. I could do this one again!

  9. Jackie Phillips

A great tour by a great guide who loves and knows his music. If you are a music fan and in London this is a wonderful way to acquaint yourself with the Rock Scene in Central London.

  10. Irene roberts

Excellent tour far better than anticipated. Adam really bought it all to life with his excellent descriptions and antidotes. Thoroughly recommend
