Short podcast listen: Adam riffing brilliantly on how a music walking tour is not just a dance to the music of our time – it’s also a dance to who we are.

Long read: All roads once led to Rome… now they lead to London. In terms of Rock ‘n’ Roll this is an inarguable fact. Big bucks may be made in Hollywood but rock ‘n’ roll reputations are made here in The Big Smoke. We’re headin’ to their haunts and hangouts. Where they riffed and let rip, these men of wealth and taste. Please allow me to introduce The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, David Bowie, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, Blur, Oasis… It’s a Who’s Who of the music. Each act has a London tale to tell… Very often a tale so decadent – so down and dirty – that Caligula would have blushed!*Keep on walking, keep on rocking! Guided by Adam or Rex. *with thanks to Morrissey

ROCK ‘N’ ROLL LONDON – THE PRACTICALS
Rock ‘n’ Roll London takes place every*Friday – year-round – at 2 pm. The meeting point is just outside exit 1 of Tottenham Court Road Tube Stop. If arriving on the Elizabeth Line follow the signs for the Tottenham Court Road Exit, and then take Exit 1, Oxford Street South N.B. the Rock ‘n’ Roll London Walk ends very near Oxford Circus Tube. *Not Dec. 25
If you can’t make one of the regularly scheduled, just-turn-up, Rock 'n' Roll London it can always be booked as a private tour. If you go private you can have the Rock 'n' Roll London walk – or any other London Walk – on a day and at a time that suits your convenience. We’ll tailor it to your requirements. Ring Fiona or Mary on 020 7624 3978 or email us at [email protected] and we’ll set it up and make it happen for you. A private London Walk – they’re good value for an individual or couple and sensational value for a group – makes an ideal group or educational or birthday party or office (team-building) or club outing.
GIVE THE GIFT OF LONDON WALKS
A private London Walk makes a fab gift – be it a birthday or anniversary or Christmas present or whatever. Merchandise schmerchandise (gift wrapped or not) – but giving someone an experience, now that’s special. Memories make us rich.
A wonderful way to experience current day and historic London. Learned so much from our guide through his expert storytelling!

We took the tour with Adam on Boxing Day. Even though we’ve been to London many times before, he shared a lot of new information with us with enthusiasm. We highly recommend this guide and tour.

An excellent 2 hour tour of musical and theatrical locations in and around Soho. Adam is an entertaining guide and raconteur, highlighting many stories of musicians that frequented the Soho district in the 1960s and 1970s. Its Only Rock and Roll…but I liked it. Highly Recommended

What a fabulous tour! Loved it all – great route through some fascinating areas of London, many that I have visited so many times but knew nothing about the significant events that happened there. Adam is a brilliant tour guide – such a breadth of information and so entertaining as well. Highly recommend this and will be looking out for some more of these walking tours to do.

London Walks always delivers! Today’s Rock N Roll walk with Jon was no exception!
He brought knowledge, passion, and music to some of the most interesting and legendary destinations in rock history. I particularly enjoyed chatting with him between stops and his expertise in music history of London added so many dimensions to the day. Run don’t walk to Jon’s tour!

The Rock’n”Roll London tour was fantastic! Adam was a knowledgeable, engaging and entertaining guide who really knew his stuff, blending music, history and anecdote together with real skill. I came away feeling I understood more about the music, and about the city too. Wonderful, and great value, thank you! Chris, ‘Vinyl Club’ member

Fun, engaging tour. Adam was a great guide. London Walks tours were recommended by a fellow American we met in a cafe — so glad to know about these tours. Next time we will take more walking tours.

Great walk. Great stuff to see and stories to know. Jon was excellent. I’d definitely do the walk again with him … in fact, when friends come to visit that’s exactly what I will do. Highly recommend.
