Short podcast listen: Adam riffing brilliantly on how a music walking tour is not just a dance to the music of our time – it’s also a dance to who we are.

Long read: All roads once led to Rome… now they lead to London. In terms of Rock ‘n’ Roll this is an inarguable fact. Big bucks may be made in Hollywood but rock ‘n’ roll reputations are made here in The Big Smoke. We’re headin’ to their haunts and hangouts. Where they riffed and let rip, these men of wealth and taste. Please allow me to introduce The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, David Bowie, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, Blur, Oasis… It’s a Who’s Who of the music. Each act has a London tale to tell… Very often a tale so decadent – so down and dirty – that Caligula would have blushed!*Keep on walking, keep on rocking! Guided by Adam or Rex. *with thanks to Morrissey

If you can’t make one of the regularly scheduled, just-turn-up, Rock 'n' Roll London it can always be booked as a private tour. If you go private you can have the Rock 'n' Roll London walk – or any other London Walk – on a day and at a time that suits your convenience. We’ll tailor it to your requirements. Ring Fiona or Mary on 020 7624 3978 or email us at [email protected] and we’ll set it up and make it happen for you. A private London Walk – they’re good value for an individual or couple and sensational value for a group – makes an ideal group or educational or birthday party or office (team-building) or club outing.
GIVE THE GIFT OF LONDON WALKS
A private London Walk makes a fab gift – be it a birthday or anniversary or Christmas present or whatever. Merchandise schmerchandise (gift wrapped or not) – but giving someone an experience, now that’s special. Memories make us rich.
Tour was great, Adam is very knowledgeable and made sure we had a good time throughout. Definitely recommend if first time visiting SOHO/West End area or an old-time rock fan.

Andrew took us on a rollicking Rock & Roll tour of secret spots, blue plaques, and history-making moments, all packed within a few not-so-square blocks of London bustle. The conversational pace was quick and ebullient; the walking pace was more leisurely; the stories were lively and accompanied by musical fragments that took most of us right back to the sixties and seventies. A really great walk, and Andrew is a friendly and informative guide.

I’m pretty up on my rock n roll history, but I still learned plenty of new things on our April 2026 walk with expert guide Adam. His tour through Soho was a fascinating blend of artist and music biz stories, architectural exploration, song snippets —and the kind of unusual trivia that pulls back the curtain and gives you a true glimpse of the creative, swinging London that once was. A must for music fans everywhere, highly recommend!

Went on this walk today, absolutely loved it ! Jon was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The many stories from different eras, from Jazz onwards ( even a bit about Mozart !), were fascinating. I highly recommend this walk.

This was brilliant! Adam was a perfect guide, fun, considerate and had great stories. It was so interesting to have this flashback of rock’n’roll life back then and see all the places.
