Short read: It rocks!

Short podcast listen: Adam riffing brilliantly on how a music walking tour is not just a dance to the music of our time – it’s also a dance to who we are.

Slightly longer read: “It’s like having your own personal rock star for a tour guide”

Lockdown read: Wednesday night Rock’n’Roll London Pub Walk is BACK!  Click here    Other London Walks tours will soon follow in virtual form

Long read: All roads once led to Rome… now they lead to London. In terms of Rock ‘n’ Roll this is an inarguable fact. Big bucks may be made in Hollywood but rock ‘n’ roll reputations are made here in The Big Smoke. We’re headin’ to their haunts and hangouts. Where they riffed and let rip, these men of wealth and taste. Please allow me to introduce The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, David Bowie, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, Blur, Oasis… It’s a Who’s Who of the music. Each act has a London tale to tell… Very often a tale so decadent – so down and dirty – that Caligula would have blushed!*  Keep on walking, keep on rocking! Guided by Adam or Rex.       *with thanks to Morrissey

I have done lots of London Walks & they have all been good & thoroughly worthwhile. Adam’s Rock & Roll tour is definitely up there with the best of them. He is very knowledgeable & has a great delivery & enthusiasm for his subject. A very enjoyable 2 hours!

  2. Nancy Kaye

We took the tour with Adam on Sept. 29, 2023. FANTASTIC! Adam is so knowledgeable, an entertainingly funny story teller and full of enthusiasm for what he does. When we go back to London we will definitely do another tour! I have already recommended Adam to friends (by sending them this link) who will be traveling to London next year from the US. Rock on Adam and thank you so much! So incredibly fun and I’m glad to be able to watch this video to remember you by!

  3. Teri

Adam was great! Filled with facts and a really good sense of humor! He also projected his voice well, so he was easily heard. The two hour tour just flew by! I highly recommend. I also look forward to doing other ones with London walks.

  4. Ross Crawford

Although I’m a born and bred Londoner (now living in Australia) Adam showed me so much historical rock ‘n’ roll places and stories that I was so pleased a friend had recommended his tour to me (beening himself a London tour guide for over 20 years) because it’s not only The material its Adams sheer enthusiasm and stage presence.
It’s only rock ‘n’ roll but I like it like it!

  5. Bion & Mary

We did the Rock ‘n’ Roll London Walk with Adam on 29 Sep ‘23. We had hoped that there would be lots of stories and backstories, and Adam regaled us with those for two hours! He shared lots of good info and insights about people and places. I could listen to Adam all day. He is fun, engaging and a great tour guide. Definitely recommend this walk with Adam!

  6. Astrid de Ronde

I did the Rock ‘n Roll Tour with Adam on Friday 6th October and what can I say? It was informative, entertaining and just a lot of fun! Highly recommended!!

  7. Nancy Deininger

My husband and I went on Adam’s Rock n Roll London walk on Friday, September 29,2023 and we had a wonderful time! We’ve been on many London Walks and even though we had done a rock n roll walk before there is always something new to learn! The walk was great and Adam was a fantastic walk host!

  8. Phil

Rock’n’Roll London with Adam: Excellent tour! Adam is very interesting, humorous and engaging as he talks through rock n roll stories of the area, mainly from the 50’s 60’s and 70’s. Highly recommended to all music lovers!

  9. Bruce Silver

Excellent tour. Adam is very knowledgeable about the history of rock ‘n roll (blues/jazz/punk) and will tell you all the details about the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, David (Jones) Bowie, The Yardbirds and The Who. Discussed recording studios, rehearse venues, pubs, venues, in a very, very entertaining manner.

  10. Andy

Great trip. pointed out many interesting venues which I have previously walked past without even looking at the building. Being selfish would have liked a few more titbits from more current times, like the cover of the Oasis album being taken in Berwick Street but still loved it1
