All the delights and delicacies of a London Victorian Christmas with Charles Dickens‘s famous story A Christmas Carol as your route map and inspiration.
We’ll deck the streets of London with balls of jolly. Scrooge and Marley and the Cratchits… they’re all here. This was where Dickens’s imagination took wing and where the characters did their thing. And as we make their acquaintance we’ll spice things with warming seasonal stories of turkeys and boars’ heads, Christmas puds, mince pies and pantomimes; cards, crackers, Christmas trees and mistletoe.
Let alone the bells that rang out on Christmas morning to wake Scrooge up, a much-changed character.
Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol & Seasonal Traditions takes place
The meeting point for the Charles Dickens’s Christmas Carol & Seasonal Traditions walk is just outside the exit of Tower Hill Tube. Meet by the Tower Hill Tram coffee stall.
N.B. the walk takes about two hours and ends across the street from St. Paul’s Cathedral and St. Paul’s Tube Stop.

A private London Walk makes a fab gift – be it a birthday or anniversary or Christmas present or whatever. Merchandise schmerchandise (gift wrapped or not) – but giving someone an experience, now that’s special. Memories make us rich.
Madeline miller –
Incredibly informative and entertaining. Simon’s knowledge and enthusiastic personality carried us through an otherwise, cold and rainy day. As a Londoner, I saw places in the city I wasn’t even aware of. Thanks.
Rebecca eborall –
Another great walk. They never disappoint. Simon was excellent and very informative. As a Londoner I still find the history fascinating.
Pat O’Brien –
Did this walk last Christmas and could not praise it enough. Walking amongst the people through the busy streets of London on a darkening winter afternoon, it felt as if we had become the ‘invisible presence’ that Richard, our guide, so memorably evoked from Dickens writings. Magical.
Ginny Hall –
4th December 2022. Simon was our guide for the walk. He was amazing. His knowledge and repertoire were absolutely brilliant. We learnt so much we didn’t even know we didn’t know, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the walk. Ginny and Helen

Absolutely brilliant Simon
Rob –
Great walk, Simon covered everything from the Romans, to Dickins, to the Plague, to the Blitz. Very cold day, but he kept it moving and informative. I’m sure I learned more about Dickens and the London he lived in then I ever would have any other way. Perfect for a December Walk.
