A 5* rated live, outdoor, 3-D, shoe-leather-on-pavement London Walk.

Our route: the Tower of London (Traitors’ Gate) to the Mansion House.

Mansion House, part of our Revolting London Walking Tour

Our dramatis personae: 20 centuries of them. They range from Boudicca (Boadacea) who put London to the torch 2000 years ago (the first Great Fire of London) to the Extinction Rebellion demonstrators who recently (2019) “torched” the Chancellor’s Mansion House speech.

Tower of London, part of our Revolting London Walking Tour

Enroute: we meet three Tudor Queens beheaded in the Tower, Irish bombers, theArchbishop of Canterbury lynched by Revolting Peasants, the slave trader who switched sides, the Scottish nobleman who laughed his head off (literally laughed it off).

The George and Vulture Pub, part of our Revolting London Walking Tour
In sum: that’s just a sprinkling of said encounters. Two hours on we’ll have met any number of extraordinary characters whose lives and deaths are etched on, above and beneath the streets and alleys of London.

And as long as we’re at it, here’s a visual of our meeting point just outside the exit of Tower Hill  Tube.

Thanks Ian for a fun and informative “Revolting London “ tour. It was two hours well spent! (and thanks for pointing us in the right direction for lunch afterwards).

  2. Mike

Entertaining and informative walk led by Ian. Highly recommended.

  3. Heather Shepherd/Cornish

We had a very enjoyable and interesting walk with David, he was very knowledgeable, clear and concise. We were a small group which was lovely as we could move along easily and we could hear everything said. The distance travelled was fairly short and yet we saw so much, weaving through the narrow lanes on occasion which was fascinating.

  4. Angela

Interesting and informative. David was friendly and encouraged questions.

  5. Cronain

  7. Chris

I’ve lived in London for 60 years and Ulrike showed me a side of the capital’s history that I never knew. From the Romans to London’s modern-day architects, this was captivating and entertaining. Not just a walk but two hours of eye-opening revelations. Ulrike is a superb guide with an incredible knowledge and a delightful, friendly style.

Dave was both informative and amusing on the Revolting London walk. He demonstrated that he is the kind of guide who goes “above and beyond” when one of the members of our walking group fell and was injured in the fall. He is a credit to London Walks and I would look forward to walking with him again

  9. Rachael Castle

Our guide David was absolutely excellent.

  10. Susan Pels

I was already a fan of London Walks and always book one or two every visit to London. Whether you know a little or a lot about British history this is a wonderfully informative and amusing walk. My huge thanks go to our guide David and fellow participant Rosie who solicitously cared for me after a fall until my husband came to take me to A&E (ER to fellow Americans). They went above and beyond and I am very grateful. By all means take this walk! But don’t fall.
