This is Royal Shakespeare Company actor Steve doing a passage from Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations. It’s the very opening of the novel. But the real point here is with a gifted actor like this, you don’t just get “guiding”, you get an accomplished performance. “Ordinary” guides are not able to operate at this level. I keep coming back to this site, as the tours were so good. Steve’s You Tube Video and Podcast remind me of his great tour (24/3/24). The Bloomsbury walk (26/3/24) was also highly recommendable.
