Curtain going up on Ann’s Cat Tails walk

And a very good morning to you London Walkers. Wherever you are.

For that matter, wherever I am.

Yes, I’ve been AWOL for a couple of weeks.

But about to enter the decompression chamber. Back to Blighty tomorrow.

So much for running around in a swimsuit and having to keep the air conditioner chugging away 24/7. Yes, guilty as charged. Decadent and an environmental no no. But I’m too old for chilly rectitude. Too wedded to my creature comforts. Chill, yes. Rectitude, no thanks.

Anyway, no better way of easing back into real life than handing over to Ann. The much praised Ann. The exquisitely precise, always fun, always interesting Ann.

Ann with her medley of wonderful walks, the flavours of which are so finely judged they stay in your head. And get you rifling through the London Walks Table of Contents. Rifling through it looking for

that guide named Ann. Wonder when her next walk is. I’m signing her dance card.

Well, I’ll save you some trouble. It’s this week. And, no, it’s not one of her Foodies Walks. Or Brook Green, her west London village walk, though that one is hoving into view.

No, it’s the most niche walk of all. Gets me purring every time I think about it.

Yes, I’m talking Cat Tails – A Feline Take on London History.

Ann tends to take it for a walk once a month.

This month’s romp – well, it’s stroll but in terms of the way it gets your mind acting up and racing about it’s a romp. Like a bunch of kittens misbehaving irresistibly.

Anyway, the walk takes place this Wednesday, February 5th, at 10.45 am. Meeting point is just outside exit 4 of Westminster Underground Station.

And to get you purring away in anticipation, here’s Ann with a little bit of an advancer. Her round-up of the Latest Cats News. What our feline friends have been getting up to of late.

[Ann’s advancer follows]
