Most Shakespeare walks in London are biographical. This one is different. It is about the places in his plays. Exploring the places, the plays and the people the walk brings Shakespeare’s London to life. It’s a fresh perspective that yields up – en passant – some extraordinary insights to Shakespeare, his world and his work. And OK, there will be, inevitably, a few light touches about his life in London – but the aim is to keep to our remit, make sure this is one of those walks ‘which does what it says on the tin’ – holds focus on the ‘places in the plays’. Sadly, in the two hours we have, we won’t be able to get to Verona or Venice but we will be able to shed some light on those locations by exploring their London equivalents. Guided by Kevin.
