Winter Festival Solstice Events – An Archaeologist Gets Things Aligned

The New Year as seen through the eyes of an archaeologist. Which means it’s “the new year” going back thousands of years and as experienced, marked, understood, celebrated by many different peoples and cultures. The archaeologist is of course former Museum of London staffer Kevin Flude. He’s got things to show us – images – we wouldn’t otherwise see. And he’s got specialist knowledge – he knows things ‘the man in the street doesn’t know.’ This is a clip from his Ring in the New Year Virtual Tour. He starts his VT by getting us up to speed with important archaeological finds in the London area and then in this clip he relates them to Stonehenge.
