Each year London Walks and the Mayflower pub lay on a Thanksgiving Celebration Walk and Dinner. This is where the Pilgrims began their journey, not in Plymouth but in Rotherhithe, SE London. Walk with us along the Thames, tranquil waterway, like the adventurers and settlers before you. The Pilgrims’ Mayflower story, and the stories of other ships. Ships of kings, admirals and men who went out on that stream. Tales of ships whose names are jewels flashing in the night of time. The Golden Hind returning, her round flanks full of treasure, and the Erebus and Terror with Sir John Franklin, who never returned. To the Mayflower…
And to St Mary’s, the Pilgrims’ church, a church with masts for pillars, and promises for comfort 1620. Then across the road for your Thanksgiving meal in the Mayflower Snug. Cheerful and convivial places. Christopher Jones, Captain of the Mayflower, prayed and feasted here.
Book this special London Walk in the usual way on the London Walks website, and pay your guide on the day. But visit the website
https://www.mayflowerpub.co.uk/bookings-thanksgiving to see the menu and make your choice of food in advance. Mayflower Thanksgiving is a very popular event, so you will need to follow this link where a deposit will secure your place with the group at the Thanksgiving table.
And – very important – mark your booking form London Walks
