And for today, let’s revise that just a little bit.
This is London all right. But it’s a London like no other London.
It’s the late, sorely missed, much lamented Queen Elizabeth II’s London.
The curtain rising on Her Majesty’s London because the centenary of her birth is just ahead of us.
And sure enough, London Walks guide Claire has put together a centenary walk to mark the occasion. It’ll run five times this summer. April 21st of course. The centenary of the Queen’s birth. And then four other important dates over the course of the summer.
And it almost goes without saying that Claire’s the best guide in London for this very special walk. In matters of royal doings and the royal household Claire was practically a lady-in-waiting at large. She always hits the right note. Has an unerring sense of decorum. Quite simply, Claire knows things about this subject that most people don’t know. And that’s all to the good.
