Brief interview with two university students, Luke and Carson, from Texas. The three of us sat down by Middle Temple Fountain and had a chat after a private walk through Legal London I’d guided for their class. I wanted to find out a bit about them and about Denton, Texas (where their university is located) and get their impressions of London. They’re brand new here, arrived less than a week ago. And have never been to London previously. So I was very keen to find out what they made of the place. They’re so quotable: “how old everything is…and appreciating that…I’m really enjoying the history, the meaning of the city…It’s a lot colder than I thought it was going to be, this is the winter for us…the British don’t talk, they just kinda mind their own business.”
Absolutely lovely youngsters – articulate, bright, fun, polite – it was a privilege to have a natter with them.
