London Walks at its best

Secret London. Hidden London. Off the beaten track London. “I never knew this was here” London. Well, I never London.

And “the best tour guide you could want.”

MEET “THE BEST TOUR GUIDE YOU COULD WANT”

Here’s Sam talking about his gem of a new walk

Pineapples, pelicans, maidens, leopards, griffins and more…

And their significance, their meaning.

As we walk we uncover the hidden stories of the buildings and monuments. We see St Pauls, Temple Bar, Guildhall, Royal Exchange, Bank of England and Mansion House.

And we talk about the history of the city from the Romans up to today.

IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THE GUIDING

  1. Svenja

I really enjoyed the tour with Sam. He was so friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

  2. Madeleine

A fascinating walk with a wonderful guide. Sam’s knowledge was comprehensive, but he welcomed contributions from the group. Sam was enthusiastic and very friendly, keen to show us parts of the city which would otherwise be a secret to most visitors (or long-time London residents). A memorable afternoon!

  3. Maggie Stoker

Sam was an excellent guide. Despite a large group from all over the world, he was engaging and clear to hear. He was happy to flex the itinerary and suggest ad hoc changes depending on our interests. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. A great experience and I’d definitely go on another walk.

  4. Wendy Whitaker

It was a a very enjoyable and informative walk. Sam was great at imparting his substantial knowledge in a a succinct and clear way. He is friendly and encouraged the group to share thoughts and ask questions. The two hours passed very quickly and I learnt a lot about the City and its history. Throughly recommend. Thank you very much.

  5. Joni

  7. micha meyers

Sam’s guiding if the secret gardens of the City of London was spot on. It felt leisurely but we saw many oases of peace, tranquility and memory. He is superbly knowledgeable but never overbearing or getting lost in arcane detail. He is inclusive and caring for all members of the group and invites and answers questions generously. I have been on several London walks guided by Sam and cannot recommend them highly enough. Each one will be full of surprising insights, new perspectives and quite simply a lot of fun.

  8. M&S

Outstanding ! Highly recommend ! Sam is an excellent guide.

  9. Erin

Sam was so knowledgeable, passionate, and friendly! He went at a good pace and you could tell 2 hours of information was only scratching the surface of his London knowledge. This was my first tour of the city and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide.

  10. Juli Thompson

Sam really knows London! He is friendly and very aware of surroundings- when it’s safe to cross, when it’s noisy and he needs to use his amplifier, when other people are doing something that we should be respectful of. He showed us nooks and crannies and symbols to watch for. After his walk, I noticed some of
them as I was walking. Fantastic walk, with handouts, I would recommend Sam on any walk and this walk for anyone.
