Sam’s guiding if the secret gardens of the City of London was spot on. It felt leisurely but we saw many oases of peace, tranquility and memory. He is superbly knowledgeable but never overbearing or getting lost in arcane detail. He is inclusive and caring for all members of the group and invites and answers questions generously. I have been on several London walks guided by Sam and cannot recommend them highly enough. Each one will be full of surprising insights, new perspectives and quite simply a lot of fun.

He is friendly and very aware of surroundings- when it’s safe to cross, when it’s noisy and he needs to use his amplifier, when other people are doing something that we should be respectful of.
