Time takes its shoes off here.
Suddenly – miraculously – you’re in another London. A quieter, greener, older London.
The City of London, that great throbbing engine of commerce and ambition, hides its heart in these secret gardens.
They’re not just green spaces – they’re memory spaces.
Magic spaces.
Magic spaces cloaked in green, dappled in sunshine.
A sanctuary for the soul.
And like all true treasures, they don’t reveal themselves to everyone.
Only to those with the right kind of eyes – and the right kind of footsteps.
You don’t find these gardens on a map – you find them by mood, by scent, by accident or by ancient invitation.
Anything else? Yes, new walk. Non pareil guide. Sam. See his reviews.

This is the second time I have done this walk and still learn something new
Who would have known that the city is so green
Sam combines history, geography and botany/biology so well – he is very knowledgeable and very easy to hear
Highly recommend

We went on the Secret Garden walk yesterday, I worked in London for over 40 years , and absolutely enjoy finding places that I didn’t know existed.
I would definitely recommend this walk, our guide Sam was so knowledgeable, and made the tour so interesting, albeit I am not at all knowledgeable about trees and plants.

what a thoroughly enjoyable and unexpected afternoon of revelations. nooks and crannies of the city that I never knew existed, such discoveries as a physic Garden within the Roman remains at the surgeon barbers livery . who knew? London is marvellous and Sam was great fun while revealing it to us. Will definitely do this one again and also his part two. I felt in the hands of an enthusiastic expert.

what a thoroughly enjoyable two hours. I thought I knew the city of London, but Sam took us to the tiniest nooks and crannies that I never knew existed. A whole new experience and a very enriching one. I will be back to do it again and do his part two for more discoveries .

I love all the London Walks, and had worked in London for well over 40 years.
I find it wonderful to come across parts of London you wouldn’t normally find, and this walk was definitely one of those. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about this walk, I would definitely recommend this one.

The tour guide pitched both the pace and his commentary just right and the size of the group was also perfect. The evening was relaxed and informative: We learned loads of new stuff about London and its secret gardens. Sam is knowledgeable, engaging, and the informative. We loved seeing gardens we never knew existed.
