Step into the shadows of Westminster and discover covert locations where spies, assassins and duplicitous double agents plied their trade. Visiting the smartest corners of London, we peer into a murky world marked by treason and treachery, betrayal and murder.

From the wartime HQ of Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service (SIS) to the exceptionally discreet apartment of C, (‘M ‘in the Bond films), we walk in the footsteps of officers and agents who shaped history. Some of them managed Enigma – WWII’s greatest secret; others deviously created the biggest deception operation of the war.

AND WHILE WE’RE AT IT, MEET YOUR GUIDE

MORE ON THE WALK…

Some planned covert Cold War actions, a few gave away information on all of the above and one or two recently revealed GCHQ’s modern-day London secrets.

Visiting shadowy locations that are rarely seen, we pass Ian Fleming’s wartime office, the glamorous house once used by SIS as a recruitment centre and the beautiful garden that witnessed an ugly assassination. Guided by Dan Parry

“For decades to come the spy world will continue to be the collective couch where the subconscious of each nation is confessed.” – John le Carre

Another exhilarating spy walk with Dan. the intrigue and Britishness of the spies add such a spice to the stories that are bring back history to life. Told superbly by Dan with incredible enthusiasm and continual releasing of new information that was protected by the official secrets acts bring those days to life. but if you want to learn more about the white mouse and Bond as well of course as the Cambridge spies and the history of our secret services you will need to go on the walk to find out more

  2. Mark Trosclair

Very fun and informative as Dan kept the conversation going and interesting. I would wholeheartedly recommend his walking tour about spies. He tied everything in at the end which made it even more enjoyable

  3. Patti Clark

Great tour, entertaining, knowledgeable, Dan gives it all. With Dan’s background and knowledge you know you are getting true insights and facts of what went on in the undercover world of spy’s in London! Great value for money and a good way to see some “off the beaten track” parts of London. Would highly recommend

  4. Anne Murray

A fascinating afternoon full of wonderful stories and anecdotes from Dan who is so on top of his game on this subject. Even with a fair knowledge of some of the events described there was a lot of new information to be gleaned and Dan was a very entertaining and engaging guide. I only hope that a future visit to London will coincide with any of Dan’s walks as would be very keen to hear more from him.

  5. LYNNE BIBERDORF

Dan was the perfect guide for this fascinating walk… knowledgeable, experienced, humorous and passionate about the subject. He was a true professional. His pace and voice projection was also ideal for our large group. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will look for any other walks that Dan leads. Thank you!

  6. Jenny B

Another very enjoyable walk with Dan. He obviously has a great depth of knowledge on the subject but was able to convey the detail with a clarity which I found easy to understand. As with Dan’s Pirates, Press-Gangs and Execution Dock walk, I found the balance of background history, stories and humour really brought the characters and the area to life and all delivered with energy and enthusiasm. I look forward to joining the Spies & Special Forces walk in the near future.

  7. Maggie Mainland

  8. Perer Leonard

Having read most of the usual books on the subject, I was surprised how much I learnt from Dan’s walk, not just the anecdotes, but gaining an understanding of the specific locations in relation to each other, all told with a deep knowledge and with good humour, making the afternoon very pleasant and time well spent.

  9. Suzanne and Nick

Dan recounted true tales packed with intrigue and quirky twists that brought the streets of London to life. Hearing his in-depth and often first-hand knowledge of spies of the 20th and 21st centuries meant a couple of hours very well spent.

  10. Mani

Dan’s expertise and passion for London’s spy history were truly contagious. He had a wealth of stories and anecdotes to share, each one more fascinating than the last. I learned so much about the city’s hidden secrets and the remarkable figures who played a role in espionage there.
