Where history happened! And the people who made it happen.

What do London’s sewers, Charles Dickens, the Charge of the Light Brigade and Oscar Wilde have in common? They all feature in this walk through London’s Westminster remembering turning points in history and the people who created, campaigned, and sometimes suffered to change not just London, not just Britain but the world.

Guide: David G.

Walking this morning with David and 20 other intrepid walkers the theme ‘Game changers’ was brought to life by David. A good raconteur of stories mixed with lots of facts made this walk most enjoyable. The 2.5 hours flew by as we went from the Embankment to Parliament Square. Many game changers along the route and passing many iconic landmarks added to the walk. No spoilers so you have to do the walk to find out more.
I would certainly recommend this walk (and I have done over 100)

Done many of London Walks but particularly enjoyed games changers.David full of knowledge and humour highlighting a lot of history regarding changes in law which I found very interesting. Learned in history at school but long forgotten brought to life by David.Thankyou

David led us, a small group of 4, on a fascinating “Game Changers” tour of central London. His style is clipped, full of detail and drily humorous. Always ready to answer questions or to elaborate, his pitch is ideal for Englishman or foreigner alike. Fully recommended for the content and you get to visit the key landmarks of central London. What is there not to like?

A great walk … by focusing on ‘game changers’ David weaves so much of London’s history into a coherent whole. Would recommend!
