Hazel’s got form when it comes to Australia. A frequent visitor there, she’s long been fascinated by the extraordinary question of how and why people ended up on the far side of the world in a place they barely knew existed. Convicts, colonists, fortune-seekers, visionaries, reformers – she’s been following their tracks for years, piecing together the rich, surprising and often improbable storylines that connect Australia to London.

She’s a trained guide for the City of London, the City of Westminster and Clerkenwell & Islington, and she also guides the City’s old riverside backyard – Wapping, Limehouse and Canary Wharf – country she knows like the back of her hand.
