In this weather, try Cambridge

Date post added: 12th July 2025

Punting on the Cam. The green Backs with their whisper of a breeze and leafy trees. Fountains. Ancient, arched (cool) quads.

Not to mention air conditioning (the train ride to and from Cambridge). And the air-conditioned bus ride from Cambridge out into the countryside and the American cemetery.

It’d get my vote if I were thinking, ‘gosh, it’s pretty oppressive this heat, I wonder if there’s an antidote.’

For sure, there is an antidote: Tuesday’s trip to Cambridge.
