Starting on 7th March and continuing over 4 weeks (each Sunday at 4pm) we take a virtual magic carpet ride across centuries, cultures, countries and continents.
Each week we will virtually visit some of London’s finest museums & galleries to look at an eclectic mix of the world’s greatest artworks.
The beauty of a virtual tour is we can see stunning details close up that we might miss when walking through the gallery itself!
Whilst the main focus will be on paintings, we also be turning the spotlight on sculpture, furniture, jewellery & many other treasures.
In this enlightening, educational and entertaining series, we learn how to unlock the secrets of paintings & take a closer look at the use of colour, technique & materials. We will also identify & explain different art movements as the centuries progress!
Week 1 – 7th March : Medieval to Early Renaissance: (300-1500)
Week 2 – 14th March : High Renaissance to Early Baroque (1500-1660)
Week 3 – 21st March : Baroque to Rococo (1660-1760)
Week 4 – 28th March : Regency, Romantics & Rebels (1760-1900)
This is a virtual tour series via Zoom. Each tour takes place at 4pm on four consecutive Sundays from 7th March to 28th March.
Tickets are £32 per person for the series. Public tours are normally £10 per person per tour, and therefore this series represents a fantastic 20% savings!
Recordings from each week will be available. In this way, if you miss one week, you can still catch up and enjoy the entire series. These recordings will be available until one month after the conclusion of the series.
PLEASE NOTE: You will receive your Zoom invitation and a full list of easy instructions 1 HOUR PRIOR TO THE START OF EACH TOUR. Please check your spam folder in case the emails from Eventbrite go astray, and be sure not to ‘unsubscribe’ from emails on Eventbrite.
In order to participate in the tour, you will need to have downloaded the Zoom App.
