They don't come much more thought provoking  than this Tour du Jour. In short, let us now praise the left side of the brain! Let alone famous men (and women). Yes, it's our foray into Scientific London. Where, in such a concentrated area, could you find so much that has made our lives what they are today? Here is a mine of discovery in all the sciences, biology, chemistry, physics, medicine. From weighing the earth to fighting gangrene to harnessing the power of steam to having our very cosmology changed, changed utterly (take a bow Charles Darwin!) to the Victorian Internet. Great names, great deeds, a great legacy.
