THE INNS OF COURT - Legal & Illegal London
Michael Murfin - London
June 2008
I went on thie walk when Richard III was standing-in for the usual guide. It was an excellent introduction to legal London for my daughter, and also contained some facts and information that I was unaware of, despite having worked in the field of law in London for 22 years. A great walk for Londoners and tourists alike.

This is my favorite London Walk! My husband and I love this walk SO much we've taken it THREE times to date and if I was in London now I'd take it again. Truly an ideal walk full of fascinating history, architecture and witty dialogue. I highly recommend Shaughan's walk on Monday's. This walk is full of surprises (I don't want to give it all away). For movie buffs, there are countless examples I can think of such as the obvious Da Vinci Code and Bridget Jones (Royal Courts of Justice and the Inn where Colin Firth's character worked as a Barrister, etc etc )

In short, this tour is fantastic!

Hi Melissa,

David here. Am in complete agreement with you about this one. I sometimes put it this way - of the 51 different London Walks I'm personally able to guide, this is one of my six favourites! I don't guide it that often - I just cover as and when - but absolutely love doing it when I do get a chance to have a crack at it. You just can't go wrong with it. And, as you say, Shaughan is as good as they get. Here's a bit of news for you - he's managed to lay his hands on a judge's wig and quite often he brings it along on the walk. Has added to his list of silly, Monty Pyhonesque titles: The Keeper of the Wig. It's all good fun. But for goodness sakes, full marks to him for adding this particular scalp - if I may be so bold as to put it that way - to his collection. They cost hundreds of pounds, as I'm sure you know.

Hi,

This was my second walk with the orignal london Walks.
My guide was Shaughan. I enjoyed it very much. All the old buildings was fantastic to see. Also the historical information Shaughan provided was very interested.
A walk i would recommend to you.
