THE BLITZ - London at War

This was my first London Walk, and it was the most wonderful two hours on a grey January day. Helena transported us back to 1940. Hearing how the people of London endured those months and how every effort was made to save St Pauls had me blinking back tears. A most evocative experience. Thank you Helena.

I would recommend this walk. Helena (guide) is very informative, she tells it very well especially with her Cockney accent explaining the time when a woman was having a bath during an air-raid so funny.
You feel like you're actually there during the bombing of London. This walk is a must do....seeing photos of how St.Paul's Cathedral stood up to the German bombing, an inspiration! Thanks Helena

Being a history nut, I have taken several London Walks in the last few years, but none impressed me like Helena's The Blitz. She makes that time come alive, and has such empathy for the people (even the Americans) living through it. Definitely a
5-star walk!

As a history student researching in London, this tour was treat for all of my senses. Helena is a poet of history who weaves stories, facts and myths effortlessly and seamlessly. Her tour had me seeking out more information and other sites for the remainder of my stay in London and is the main reason I always reccomend London Walks to people traveling to Britain.
