If you’re choosing a London Walk for the first time – welcome and thank you. We hope you enjoy every moment of your walk.
It’s really easy to book onto a London Walk. On our website, choose the walking tour that you’d like to join. On the walk page, you can ‘reserve online’. We recommend you book your place in advance as our walks are popular and can fill up.
If you have any problems with your booking, you can contact us at (+44) 020 7624 3978 or via email at [email protected]

You can pay contactless, by card and we even take cash. Please bring the exact money if you’re paying by cash. We don’t have pre-payment for most of our in-person, in real life London walking tours.*
*The exceptions are small group tours and day trips, clearly outlined where you book.
Meet your guide just outside the exit of the designated underground station at the specific start time for any given London Walk or day trip. The guides hold up copies of the distinctive white London Walks leaflet.
A London Walk takes about 2 hours. We plan the walking route so that it starts and finishes at (or near) a tube station. Rain or shine, our London walks always take place. Bring a brolly, and/or sun cream to prepare for whatever weather comes our way.
Every morning, every afternoon and every evening. We even walk on Christmas Day!
It’s a good question. When you can listen to an online guide, follow a Google map and take your own self-guided walking tour, why join one of our London walks?
AI and apps can help you navigate Central London. But on a London Walk, you don’t just get a sightseeing tour. You’ll see London landmarks as well as hidden gems. You get to look up and see things you otherwise wouldn’t (rather than down at your phone). And the biggest difference? Our brilliant guides!
“London Walks puts you into the hands of an expert on the particular area and topic of a tour.”
The New York Times
Why settle for the outside when you can get the inside?
Tour Hampstead with people live in Hampstead. Not carpet baggers, not passers-through. Locals. People who know who lives where, who know which house* mattered, have been in those houses. People who are integral members of the neighborhood.
*Let alone which pub changed everything, and who used to sit in which corner nursing a pint.
And why loiter outside Buckingham Palace with a crowd and a selfie stick when you could be standing in exactly the right spot, hearing royal stories from guides who’ve actually been inside. Met royalty. Know the hidden history. Including, yes, the scandals. Guides like Karen Pierce Goulding, crowned “the world’s greatest guide” by Travel & Leisure. Karen didn’t just research royal London. She wrote the book. Royal London.
You could amble along Regent’s Canal, missing most of what’s there. Or you could see what’s there, understand it, guided by a lifelong member of the Inland Waterways Association who knows every lock, basin and backstory.
You could wander through Westminster none the wiser, ticking off Big Ben and moving on. Worth it? Really? Savvy visitors – and locals – see it properly, see it with a former Member of Parliament. The tour’s called An MP’s Westminster. The people who go on that walk don’t just see Westminster. They see into it, guided by a three-term former MP who understands the machinery of power from the inside out.
You could eat anywhere and learn nothing about London in the process. Or you could take one of our Foodies’ London Walks, exploring the city’s food history with a former BBC reporter who’s a seriously knowledgeable foodie and into the bargain, a top-flight Blue Badge Guide.
