Beachcombing Walks
Thames Beachcombing

10,000 Years of History Beneath Your Feet

Good tides, so lots of Beachcombing this winter!

To go Beachcombing with Fiona - the world's leading authority on this stretch of the Thames foreshore! - meet just outside exit 1 of Mansion  HouseTube.

Okay, diaries ready? Here, set out chronologically, are the Winter 09-10 dates.

Sunday, March 7th at 11.30 am

Saturday, March 20th at 10 am

Sunday, March 21st at 10 am.

Saturday, April 3rd at 11 am

Sunday, April 4th at 11.30 am

Sunday, April 18th at 11 am

Meeting place for all of them is Mansion HouseTube, exit 1.

And the usual recommendation: wear sensible shoes and bring a bag for the goodies you're going to find: mediaeval roof tiles, Elizabethan clay pipes, something Roman perhaps, or even Mesolithic! Yes, a few of our Beachcombers are now the proud owners of something a Mesolithic Londoner produced 4,500 years ago! Or thereabouts.
